What does your company do?
We are internet retailers of aftermarket automotive parts.
What made you want to be an entrepreneur?
It’s in my blood, runs in the family. Never really was a choice.
Why did you choose your business?
I have several but this is the largest. I fell into it by having a close friend who liked cars
What prepared you for entrepreneurship?
Montessori grade school, a family who worked for themselves, working for McDonald’s learning corporate structure, working for several other small businesses.
What has been your greatest achievement so far?
Creating good incomes for people I care about, providing customers with new experience in this sector.
What has been the most rewarding aspect of being an entrepreneur?
Watching the company grow.
What challenges have you faced as an entrepreneur?
Recruiting talent, convincing vendors that we’re legitimate, managing personnel problems in the company.
Is there anything you wish you’d done differently?
Reinvested money quicker, sought out loans to expand.
How can others get started in this business?
Start with a core product or service that you are better than anyone else at. Expand from there.
Do you have any advice for any future entrepreneurs?
Get a lot of feedback and learn the patterns of good vs. bad advice. Never think that your idea is too good to share and worry someone will copy it. The difficulty is in the execution, not finding the idea.
