If you run a blog, then you may have run into the occasional anonymous hater. This is someone who posts negative comments. These aren’t respectful, “I disagree with you and here’s why…” comments but things like, “Your post doesn’t make any sense. I don’t agree with anything you said. I don’t understand why people are too stupid to see that your article is flawed…”
Small business owner, Kris Ruby, polled several entrepreneurs to get their take on dealing with hateful blog comments. One of the most popular responses was to ignore it. You want your blog posts to generate conversation because the content is good, not because you and your last commenter are arguing back and forth. Many times people post negative comments as a way to get attention. If you reply back with something less than positive (or anything at all), you are giving that person just what he or she wants.
Looking at the Ruby article, can you share the way you deal with anonymous haters and flamers on your blog? Have you helped another blog owner rid his or her blog of trolls? Share your tips for a chance to win a $100 Amazon gift card. Read on for how…

Disclaimer: My blog is a part of an online influencer network for Business on Main. I receive incentives to share my views on a monthly basis. The opinions, however, are all mine.
I’m new to blogging and haven’t come in contact with “haters” yet, but I think I’d ignore them. I’m all for healthy debate, but I wouldn’t want them to disrupt the flow of my blog or upset readers. If the person kept spouting off negative comments, then I may even block them.
