1) Make your bed every morning.

This is a simple task that only takes a few minutes, but it can make a big difference in the overall appearance of your bedroom. A made bed gives the room a neater appearance and feels more inviting. It’s also essential to keep your bedroom clean and clutter-free for two reasons. First, a cluttered environment can be stressful and negatively impact your sleep quality. Second, dust mites love to hide in cluttered areas! You’ll be less likely to experience these problems by making your bed every day.

If you’re not used to making your bed every morning, start small by just pulling up the covers and straightening the pillows. Once you get into the habit, you can add more steps, like folding the sheets and fluffing the pillows.

2) Put things away after you use them.

This habit will help keep your home clutter-free in the long run. It’s easy to leave things out after you use them, but taking a few extra seconds to put them away can make a big difference. For example, if you’re done using your toothbrush, put it back in the holder instead of leaving it on the counter. If you’re finished with your book, put it back on the shelf instead of leaving it on the coffee table. Forming this habit will take some time and effort, but it’s worth it in the end. Your home will stay neater, and you’ll save yourself time and energy from having to clean up clutter later on.

3) Clean up as you go.

This is another great habit for preventing clutter from building up. When you clean up as you go, it’s much easier to keep your home tidy overall. For example, if you’re cooking dinner and spill sauce on the counter, clean it up right away instead of leaving it until later. Likewise, if there are dishes in the sink, wash them immediately rather than pile them up. This may require some extra effort initially, but it will become second nature over time. Soon enough, your home will be consistently clean and organized!

If you have kids, this is especially important for teaching them good habits from a young age. For example, kids are notorious for making messes, but they can also learn to clean them up if you set a good example.

4) Have a place for everything.

This is another essential habit for keeping your home organized and clutter-free. When everything has a designated spot, it’s much easier to put things away after you use them. For example, if you have a shelf for books, put the book back on the shelf after you’re done reading it. If you have a basket for laundry, put the clothes in the hamper after they’re washed. It should also be a priority to keep on top of cleaning supply procurement, this includes cleaning liquids, cloths, mops and brooms. It’s also important to have a dedicated space for valuables like wallets, cellphones and your CCELL Cartridge for vaping. It can also be helpful to label your storage areas so that everyone in the family knows where things belong. This will help prevent confusion and make putting things away simpler.
