We’ve come to the end of my four-part series on Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion. During Week 1, I shared my goal of getting healthier as an entrepreneur without sacrificing the foods I enjoy. In Week 2, I talked about my daughter’s love for making pasta and other carbs. And in Week 3, I shared information about the recipes and realistic meal plans in the book.

While my public health journey with the book is over, I still plan to incorporate some of the tips I learned into everyday life. For instance, I’ll keep eating carbs in the way suggested by the book, especially knowing the benefits.

“Specific higher-carbohydrate foods (including berries and cherries) support your fat-burning metabolism while you sleep, providing your body with a steady stream of fuel throughout the night. The trick is knowing how to combine them with other evening and pre-bedtime fat-burning foods to fuel your metabolism as you sleep.”

The Importance of Water

I already drank mostly water, but I’ve ramped up my intake since starting the program. If you’re someone who hates drinking water, you may want to rethink your stance. There are several benefits you’re missing out on.

“Water helps digest your food, expel wastes, regulate your temperature, protect your tissues, cushion your joints, and protect your spinal column, among many other vital functions. It is through water that hormones flow to the proper organs, that nutrients reach all cells, and that toxins are diluted and removed from the body.”

If reading all that still doesn’t have you convinced, try water with a twist. The book suggests adding a slice of lemon. That extra boost of flavor may be what you need to increase your water intake.

Lastly, a big takeaway from the book is to eat when I’m hungry. It sounds like common sense, but most diet plans are restrictive. As you probably know, the most challenging times to curb hunger are just before bed and in the morning. By following the Always Eat After 7PM program, you have the most willpower to stay on the diet because you are eating during the hours when you are most hungry. This also puts you into both intermittent fasting, increasing testosterone and your metabolism, while putting you into ketosis.

Thank you for following my healthcare journey. I hope you learned some things along the way. If you’ve already picked up a copy of the book, I’d love for you to write a comment about what you’re learning. If not, I’ve included purchase information below.
