Top 5 Social Media Sites for Your Content Marketing Campaign

Content marketing is one of the strongest internet marketing strategies a company can use. As a business owner or marketing strategist of a company, your content holds the ability to speak on behalf of your product and draw an audience. It’s important to refrain from spamming people online. The right content marketing strategy involves finding a target market.

The next step involves the use of sales copy and content that connects with their pressure point. Once you’re able to give them the solution (your product), they’ll quickly become faithful members of your company’s tribe. To get in front of your audience, you’ll want to use the following social media sites to run a solid content marketing campaign.

Top 5 Social Media Sites for Your Content Marketing Campaign

1. Facebook

Facebook can easily be considered the mother of all things social media. Yes, there were social media sites before Facebook. However, Facebook continues to stand the test of time. There are a few steps to marketing content on Facebook. You’ll want to create a public business profile. Invite family and friends to follow you on this profile. Facebook users really appreciate the beauty of words and stories.

Don’t make your status updates too long, but this is the place to share compelling words that lead people to action. Always keep a link available so that people can find your website. Also, many companies use Facebook ads to build their followings at a quicker pace.

2. Twitter

Twitter continues to thrive with the use of hashtags and interesting conversation. Take a look at the answer your company offers to the world. Developing a good conversation around that will help you if you choose to use Twitter.

Many bloggers and companies like to hold Twitter chats. Schedule a time during the week and anyone who wants to be a part of the conversation can use the hashtag to stay engaged. If this trick is done on a consistent basis, it’s easier to build a strong following over a period of time.

3. Instagram

Instagram is all about beautiful word art and stunning photography. This app is very popular among Millennials and is a great place to receive tons of traffic to your feed. The key with Instagram is to allow your photos to speak for you. Try not to inundate your followers with really long captions. Save that for a blog. A picture is worth a thousand words, so create great images and allow the followers to come to you.

4. LinkedIn

A little over a year ago, LinkedIn created the LinkedIn blogs feature. This is perfect for any company that has expertise to share in the business marketplace. Companies like ACN have been intentional about providing valuable information through this site to attract a faithful readership. There are a few categories within the feature. Use the proper tags to allow readers to find your content and attract a following through a LinkedIn blog.

5. YouTube

Out of all the websites on the internet, YouTube is the second most visited site in the world. Google is #1 and YouTube is owned by Google. If you’d like to find success with marketing content on YouTube, you’ll need a great camera, good editing software and great lighting. Be consistent with the content you share and use the right keywords to rank higher in the search engines.

A content marketing campaign may take a while to finesse. It’s important to be thoughtful and intentional about who you want to reach. Once you’re clear on who your audience is, try not to stray from that for this campaign. It’s best to zero in your focus on a targeted niche and dominate it.

Once you’re viewed as the expert in that niche, you gain momentum and credibility. These keys are essential for any company that wants to strengthen and build their brand. As long as you’re clear about your audience and which social media site to find them, your company has a great chance of running a successful content marketing campaign.
